As Makers and Artists ourselves, we’re always eager to try out new media and new materials. There’s just so much creativity out there! So we created WaterCrow Studio to bring more opportunities for art in the north. WaterCrow Studio carries fine art supplies for all your artistic needs at 168 Elgin Street in downtown Sudbury, Ontario. Catering to artists all over the north, we have materials for a wide variety of art forms, as well as locally-made art, plus we have Art Classes! Evelyn, an Ontario Certified Teacher, teaches Intro to Watercolour and Teen Drawing classes every week. Spark up an old interest, develop your skills, come get Creative. Gift certificates available.
Our Team of Teachers:
Christy A. Smith
I paint impressionistic landscapes of Sudbury and the surrounding region. I also frequently paint in Killarney Provincial Park, Georgian Bay as well as the LaCloche Mountains. I also frequent and paint yearly in Algonquin Park and I depict my landscapes in all four seasons using pastel, graphite or watercolours. I hold an Honours Visual Arts diploma and have been teaching my craft for many years. I have exhibited with the Sudbury Art Tour, the LaCloche Art Show, and the Cavalcade of Colours show. Every year I have a "Spring Awakening" solo art exhibition which attracts hundreds of visitors over a two day period.
Smeet Gusani (S.K. Gusani Arts)
Art is you, and me. Art is all around us. Art is the love and appreciation of all that surrounds us. It is – simply put - seeing things that are easily overlooked in this consciousness we call "Life." I have been painting since forever. I usually paint my experiences and memories and try my best to capture the mood and feel.
Angelene Humphrey, BFA
Angelene Humphrey was born in 1983 in downtown Toronto. She graduated in 2007 with a BFA in Painting from Ontario College of Art and Design University. Since graduation she has worked as an artist on film and television sets, and as a teacher and mentor, administering numerous arts and crafts programs for inner city youth. Humphrey moved to Sudbury in 2015 with her growing family, and has found a true love for the north. Her paintings have been featured in solo and group shows across the country, east to west coasts and internationally in Naples, Florida and London, England.
